Meet Florence Fadipe, a Nigerian-American Bachelor of Science in Nursing Student at the School of Nursing.

Florence currently works as a nurse extern at a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and previously worked at a rehabilitation facility. While in nursing school, she joined the UT Medical Reserve Corps. In this role, she mentors members of the community while connecting passion to serve others. She was also a student associate at the university’s Counseling and Mental Health Center during freshman year and a member of the Student Health Advisory Committee.

She received the 2023-2024 Outstanding Student Award from the Texas Parents Association for her exceptional leadership, scholarship, character and service.

Florence feels that nursing plays a massive role in education, clinical protocols, patient care, and the ability to develop solutions quickly. She eventually wishes to pursue this passion in Nursing Informatics at John Hopkins after graduation.

We honor Florence during National Nurses Week for her leadership among undergraduate nursing students!
